PAUL MECCANICO AT SARNANO-SASSOTETTO 2017

On the weekend of 19-21 May, in our beloved Sarnano, the highly anticipated Sarnano-Sassotetto hill climb took place, now in its twenty-seventh edition. This uphill race, defined by many experts as "the most beautiful in Europe", this year had an even more special flavor; after the enormous difficulties of the earthquake it represented the strong desire of the whole Sarnanese community to start again. Great closeness and solidarity for the recent earthquake events was also shown by the pilots. Not surprisingly, with 237 members and 217 starters, the attendance record was recorded.

In a context of choral participation, we at Paul Meccanico could not miss that we decided to contribute by paying homage to the first three female pilots classified with accessories, unique pieces in the world, of our artisanal production. Even the company I AM DOPING FREE, founded by the legendary blue swimmer Filippo Magnini with whom we collaborate in a project to fight against doping, wanted to be indirectly present by sending us some t-shirts that we gave, during the awarding phase, to all the women who took starts the race.

Along the way, banners and flags with the Paul Meccanico logo were also set up, while on all the cars of the female drivers as well as on those of the staff, nice yellow stickers, the symbolic color of our brand, stood out.

Simone Faggioli won once again. He never ceases to amaze and has seen fit to match the track record as well. Amazing! Our cheering, however, went to Rachele Somaschini who, aboard her splendid Mini, supports the #CorsaPerUnRespiro project, created to raise awareness and spread knowledge about Cystic Fibrosis and raise funds to be allocated to the research of this serious and widespread genetic disease. We had the opportunity to meet her before the race and we can confirm that in addition to being a great driver (her times don't lie) she is a great person.

We conclude with a special thanks to Renzo Serrani, Simona Polci and Simone Salari who followed us with passion and professionalism in this welcome collaboration.
